HVAC marketing read from public data

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions from HVAC owners

The questions HVAC owners ask us most, from price and contracts to where our data comes from and what happens if a previous agency let them down. Short answers first, detail after.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

These are the questions HVAC owners ask most often before working with us. Each answer is short and direct. Where a question depends on the details of your business, such as contract terms or how ad spend is billed, the honest answer is that it is confirmed in writing in your proposal, and we say so.

Frequently asked questions

How much does HVAC.Report cost?

Plans run from Starter at $2,998 a month to Elite at $8,998 a month, and websites from $3,500 one-time. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST/HST for your province.

Is there a contract or lock-in?

No lock-in. The specific terms, including notice, are confirmed in writing in your proposal before any work starts.

What is in the free trial?

Over seven days we audit your digital marketing, test your website's performance, analyse your SEO and benchmark your competitors. You do not need a credit card.

How soon will I see results?

It depends on the channel. Profile fixes and ads can produce calls within weeks; content and organic search take months. Our named results range from 3× leads in 90 days at BCWide.ca to 400% organic traffic growth in 12 months at Roma Heating & Cooling.

We tried an agency before and it did not work. Why would this be different?

We cannot speak for other agencies. What we do differently is start with a dated benchmark, agree the metrics in writing, track every lead to its source, and report booked jobs, not traffic. You can judge us on those numbers.

Who owns the website, profile and ad accounts?

Ownership is set out in writing in your proposal. Our practice is to set up profiles, analytics and ad accounts in your business's name so they stay with you.

Where do the numbers in your reports come from?

Only from sources we loaded ourselves, such as Statistics Canada tables, Google's published help and policy pages and the Justice Laws Website, plus our named HVAC.Agency case studies. We do not run surveys or quote unsourced averages.

Can you promise first place on Google?

No. Google states that no one can pay for a better local ranking, and any agency promising a position is guessing. We work on the factors Google says matter and report the results.

Do you install or repair HVAC equipment?

No. HVAC.Report is a marketing and business consulting service. We do not install, repair, service or sell equipment.

Do you work with companies outside British Columbia?

Yes, across all 10 provinces and the three territories. We are headquartered in Vancouver. We meet by video call or in person. Phone, text and email also work.

What reporting will I get?

Monthly reports on Starter, weekly on Growth, and a real-time dashboard with custom reporting on Elite. Each shows leads by source and, where your team records outcomes, booked jobs.

Can you send marketing texts and emails to my past customers?

We can plan and run follow-up programs that respect Canada's anti-spam law, which requires consent, sender identification and a working unsubscribe. Our CASL report explains the two-year and six-month implied consent windows.

Price and terms

The answer first: plans from $2,998 a month, websites from $3,500, plus GST/HST by province, with a 7-day free trial and no lock-in.

The full breakdown of what each plan includes is on our pricing page, taken from the plans published by HVAC.Agency. If you are comparing us with another agency, compare scope line by line: profile work, content, ads, reporting frequency and who owns the accounts. A cheaper plan that leaves out tracking can cost more in wasted ad spend.

Evidence and data

We publish reports that read one public source at a time, such as Statistics Canada's business counts or Google's Business Profile guidelines, and label our analysis separately.

This matters because many claims in HVAC marketing are unsourced. We do not have a public source for a national HVAC cost per lead or conversion rate, so we do not publish one. Instead, we benchmark you against the named competitors in your own search results. Browse the reports to see the method.

Results and timelines

Results depend on channel, market and how quickly your team answers enquiries.

Faster channels, such as a corrected profile and search ads, can move within weeks. Content and organic search take months. Our results page lists named outcomes, each with the metric and period published, and explains what transferred to other HVAC companies.

If a previous agency let you down

The answer first: ask for the baseline, the agreed metrics and the tracking before anything else.

Most failed engagements we hear about share three features: no agreed metric, no lead tracking, and reports full of traffic and rankings rather than jobs. We start with a dated benchmark, set the metrics in writing, and report booked work where your team records it. If a previous agency built thin city pages or bought links, our content and SEO service audits and repairs them against Google's spam policies.

Ownership and accounts

The answer first: ownership terms are set out in writing in your proposal, and our practice is to keep accounts in your business's name.

That covers the Google Business Profile, analytics, ad accounts and domain. If an earlier agency set these up under its own name, we help you request access or transfer before any new work starts, because a profile or ad account you cannot control is a risk to the whole business.

Reporting and proof

Every plan includes reporting: monthly on Starter, weekly on Growth, and a real-time dashboard on Elite. The headline figures are leads by source and, where your team records outcomes, booked jobs. Traffic and rankings appear lower down, as supporting detail. We also name our evidence: when we cite a result, it belongs to a named HVAC client with a live site, and when we cite a statistic, it links to the published source with its date. If you are evaluating several agencies, ask each one for the same: a named client, a linked source, a stated period.

Coverage and language

We work across all provinces and territories. For Quebec and bilingual parts of New Brunswick, we plan French and English pages separately. Our areas hub summarises the market data for each region.

Working with us

We work by call, text and email, Monday to Friday, 9 to 6 Pacific, and usually reply within one business day. HVAC.Report is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, headquartered in Vancouver and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We are a marketing service for HVAC companies, not an HVAC contractor. See the contact page for what to include in your first message.
